Bylenok - Photo

Laura Bylenok is a writer from Seattle, Washington. She is the author of the poetry books Living Room (University of Nebraska Press, 2022), winner of the Backwaters Prize in Poetry, and Warp (Truman State University Press, 2015), winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize, and the hybrid-genre prose book a/0 (New Michigan Press, 2014). Her poetry has appeared in CrazyhorseGuernicaNinth LetterArts & LettersDIAGRAM, and many other journals. She holds a BA from the University of Washington, an MFA from the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Utah, where she was awarded the Vice-Presidential Fellowship. She is Assistant Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
